Classes

  • INTD 301: Topics in Secondary Ed: Math

This course is designed to assist in the development and preparation of preservice teachers.

  • MATH 112: Precalculus

This course is designed primarily for the student who needs a foundation in algebra and functions for the study of calculus. The concept of a function, including its graphical representation, is stressed. Topics include: real numbers; manipulating algebraic expressions; solving equations and inequalities; classes of functions and their graphs, including linear, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions; and algebra of trigonometric functions including basic identities. Modeling and solving problems in applied contexts is also emphasized.

  • MATH 141: Math Concepts for Elem Ed II

This course is intended for education majors and is designed to provide a mathematical treatment of the fundamental concepts of probability, statistics, and elementary geometry as they relate to the elementary school mathematics curriculum.
