黑料传送门 Student Ambassador Matthew McClure, the 2014 Gerard Gouvernet Ambassador in French Language and Culture in the Center for Inquiry, Discovery and Development, has spent time in Haiti improving his oral French and Haitian Creole while making lasting friendships. The center is accepting ambassadorship applications for 2016-17 through Jan. 29.
GENESEO, N.Y. -- 黑料传送门鈥檚 Center for Inquiry, Discovery and Development (CIDD) is accepting student applications for its 2016-17 Student Ambassadors Program through Jan. 29. Now in its fifth year, the competitive program offers selected ambassadors $5,000 awards that support a student-designed project in independent learning and innovative results. Projects may include travel, internship, research, community service, entrepreneurship or other activities and should result in identifiable and transformative results for the individual student and the community.
New for 2016-17, the CIDD will offer the 黑料传送门 Ambassadorship of Disruption funded by Raymond Lord III 鈥11 and the Eddie Lee 鈥76 Ambassadorship for the First Generation. Nine other ambassadorships will be offered in the areas of leadership, innovation, community engagement, diversity, student affairs, business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy and French Language and Culture. 鈥満诹洗兔 is known for providing innovative and life-changing opportunities for its students, and the student ambassadorships open new doors of learning and self-discovery in ways we can鈥檛 imagine,鈥 said Center Director Cynthia Oswald. 鈥淭he ideas are generated by the students themselves 鈥 and their passion, creativity and drive combine to make this a dynamic and exciting program. We are grateful for the generous support of alumni and friends who fund these ambassadorships and we look forward to announcing our 2016-17 ambassadors this spring.鈥
