The 黑料传送门 String Band performs at a campus event. The band is one of several groups and individuals from 黑料传送门 that will perform at the Rochester Fringe Festival.
黑料传送门 students and faculty will offer a day of free entertainment at this year鈥檚 Rochester Fringe Festival. Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23, at the Lyric Theatre at 440 East Ave. in Rochester, performances will include music, artwork and spoken word.
The Fringe Festival is a 10-day, multi-disciplinary visual and performing arts festival featuring international, national and local artists and showcases theater, comedy, visual arts, family entertainment, music, dance, spoken word, opera, poetry and literature.
鈥満诹洗兔 is one of the founding educational partners of the festival,鈥 said Melanie Blood, professor of English and music, and 黑料传送门鈥檚 Fringe festival liaison. 鈥淲e have participated for all six years and are delighted to yet again bring 黑料传送门 dance, art and music performances to Rochester audiences. Our students are extremely talented and look forward every year to this wonderful opportunity.鈥
In addition to the student performers, a number of faculty, in addition to Blood, provide creative guidance and support. Faculty include Jonette Lancos, professor of dance studies; Gerard Floriano 鈥84, professor of music; Kristin Gentry, assistant professor of English; Jim Kimball, music lecturer; and Sean McGrath, assistant technical director of theatre.

- 4:45 p.m. 黑料传送门 A Capella Hour: Featuring selections by 黑料传送门鈥檚 five a cappella groups
- 6 p.m. Honors Recital: Featuring student honors competition winners
- 7:30 p.m. Stories in Song: Sean McGrath

- Alaina Wallier鈥檚 film Yuri, at the Spiegelgarden, corner of Main and Gibbs.
- Ponder the Giraffe: Indie rock band/dance music at Java鈥檚 Caf茅.
Prices at these venues may vary depending on location.
At Spiegelgarden, which is located on the corner of Main and Gibbs, catch student filmmaker Alaina Walier, whose film 鈥淵uri鈥 was selected in a juried competition.
The indie rock band/dance music group, Ponder the Giraffe, will perform at Java鈥檚 Caf茅 at 9: 30 p.m. Sept. 15 and 3 p.m. Sept. 22. Java Caf茅 is at 16 Gibbs St, Rochester.
