Susan Snyder

Sociology Alumni

’79

While at ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ, I took Sociology of the Family. This experience helped me to identify that I wanted to study and work with families. I was accepted into Syracuse University’s Child and Family Studies Ph.D. Program and Masters program in Marriage and Family Therapy.  I went on to have a successful and gratifying career—both as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Adjunct Professor in the Dept. of Counseling and Human Services at Syracuse University.  I am in my 43rd year of clinical practice and have been a telehealth practitioner since the pandemic.  I will always attribute the start of my professional path to my excellent ºÚÁÏ´«ËÍÃÅ education and to majoring in Sociology.
